The wreck of the S.S. Maheno on Fraser Island, Australia.
The Maheno has a long history, stretching back to 1905 when it was built in Scotland to be used as a luxury liner for travel between Australia and New Zealand. It served in the first world war as a hospital ship, and then was converted back to a luxury liner after the war. In 1935 it was declared outdated and was being towed to Japan for scrap. Along the way it encountered a cyclone and washed ashore where it remains to this day.
