This ancient Korean observatory is apparently the oldest in Eastern Asia. I’m not entirely sure why they needed to build a massive stone structure to sit approximately ten to fifteen feet off the ground (couldn’t they make a treehouse of sorts and save a lot of effort?) but they did.

This building is huge! Even with my 10-22 it was difficult to capture portions of the building in their entirety, so I deciced to focus on its most interesting feature–the roof.

A shot of the flatiron building in New York City. This was once the tallest building in the city when it was built in 1902.
I used an aged photo preset to create the yellowed/muted tone.
